Firstly, Thespian Lab would like to thank our Drama CCA instructors for making time to join us in this SYF Bridging Programme cum Lunch session. We hope this session will benefit them as we prepare towards a challenging start of 2025!
November and December is usually a low peak period for our instructors. This is the time where they will go for a short holiday or engage in other projects such as acting on tv or commercial, or even get themselves involve in various stageplays in various capacity.
Every instructor above is a well-respected professional in their own niche within the community. In addition to being excellent actors, we have witnessed their capability, creativity, and experience as directors.
This is why we are excited about this upcoming Singapore Youth Festival 2025.
Room set up. We are excited to get started. But before that, let’s catch up over buffet lunch.
I have always enjoyed these moments where we can gather over a good meal, chit-chat, and share a good laugh.
We believe that every single experience is a piece of valuable information that can be shared. The instructor who receives this information will no longer ask ‘beginner questions’. This is how a bridging program works.
While we acknowledge that it is unlike going through the moment and living in the experience, we believe that through experience sharing, we can provide enough information that an instructor can begin looking into things that really matter.
The type of detail that they pay attention to can differentiate them from a new instructor who hasn’t gone through such programs.
In addition to that, the instructors were also briefed on the different procurement processes that schools have and what kind of support they will be getting from the Thespian Lab management team. This way, they can focus on the students that they have been assigned to.
How much did the instructors pay for this session? None. Thespian Lab not only uses part of its profit to organize showcase events for its students, but we also use part of our profits to invest in the professional development of our instructors.
After going through such sessions, our instructors will be able to do their work better and make informed decisions and this creates a cycle of progression between Thespian Lab and our Thespian Trainers.
